It was great to attend the latest Connect Educate & Collaborate meeting at The C**k Hotel, hosted by Dan Quinn of Fire Scene Group.
Dan introduced Teresa Fisher from Young Enterprise, who shared insight into the fantastic work they do with young people, particularly those in Years 10 and 12. From exploring the meaning of success and promoting their "Learn to Earn" programme to helping students develop CVs and employability skills, Young Enterprise is making a real difference and would welcome the opportunity to work with more schools across Shropshire.
The session also featured a lively and engaging group discussion led by Dan, using the principles of Appreciative Enquiry, supported by an interactive Slido questionnaire that encouraged plenty of participation and thought-provoking conversation.
It was great to share a table with Yiasmin Freestone, Sheeba Eeswaramoorthy and Jana Ward, with everyone agreeing there is plenty of scope to strengthen collaboration over the coming months.
As always, the lunch was delicious, so thank you to Simon Smith and the team at The C**k Hotel for their hospitality. A special thanks also goes to Kim Goode for organising another excellent event.
