We have had so many people coming over this week to discuss their mortgages that our Director of Glee has been spoilt. Many ear scritches, and handfuls of treats have kept her going. And that is a good thing since she has worked really hard on her cracking advice this week.

“If you have been gifted your deposit, it still needs to have a paper trail.

“If your parents or another family member are helping with the deposit, don't just have them transfer the money into your account and assume that's the end of it.

“Lenders commonly require evidence of where the deposit came from and a gifted-deposit declaration.

“Have a great weekend! May your ears be scritched when you’re a good girl.”

Getting a mortgage shouldn’t feel like the Commonwealth games. You shouldn’t feel like you’re barrelling headlong at a hurdles and trying to leap over them.

We took the Director of Glee to the seaside this week for her to enjoy tramping around in the sand. What is it about the seaside that makes you think of happy retirees? It certainly did for Crackers who scribbled down this cracking advice for you this week.
