Bank of England have HELD the base rate!! Which was our best case scenario in the current climate 👌 could still rise next quarter however depending on what happens next with the war 😞 so I’m still recommending everyone shops around at the earliest opportunity (within 6 months of deal expiring) 🏦

Be very careful of phone calls claiming to be from your life insurance provider, I’m aware of a scam going around at the moment and one of my clients fell victim to it.

Morning all! The news headlines have resulted in a few panicked calls this morning so I’ll answer the common questions to all here;
- yes most professionals do believe rates will be impacted and rise in the foreseeable
- yes we do concur the base rate may increase instead of decrease this month, best case scenario would be a hold
- no the term WITHDRAWING rates doesn’t mean lenders will sn**ch your deal away if you’ve already applied; they are making changes for future applications

If anyone’s mortgage is due review within the next 6 months (deal expiring) I would recommend you contact me sooner rather than later to grab a rate now ✔️

When you email a client for a mortgage review after 5 years, and she rings you immediately saying how happy she is as she’s been looking me up on Google, social media and FCA register as couldn’t remember my surname but didn’t want to use anyone else ☺️love that!!! Long chat catching up on life over said 5 years and finally got to her review 👌😂🥰

Well I’m sure you’re all aware by now that the base rate reduced to 3.75% today, with positive predictions of further reductions as early as February next year 👌

For any pending mortgage clients, I’m on it don’t worry ☺️ as I’ve had about 20 messages today 😂 ( it’s my job, I’m always watching every lender and get alerts automatically). Even my Mum told me so…. Clearly I’m doing something wrong here guys🤷🏼‍♀️😂

Some lenders changed their rates last week in anticipation, some will review over the next few days and some will relaunch in January. Some will not budge at all as they’re niche and working of SWAP rates. Rest assured I’ll take advantage of any cheaper deals wherever possible ✔️ sit back, relax and enjoy your Christmas! 🤶
