We charge a fee of £250 for Mortgage advice. £100 on submission of your Decision in Principle and £150 on submission of your Mortgage Application to a lender. This fee is non refundable. There is an additional £50 charge for a Co Ownership application. YOUR HOME MAY BE REPOSSESSED IF YOU DO NOT KEEP UP REPAYMENTS ON YOUR MORTGAGE

Many people are already paying mortgage-sized rent; all while being told, or believing buying a home is impossible.

And for many, that can feel incredibly frustrating.

The reality is, a lot of people assume they need a huge deposit, perfect circumstances, or a certain income before they can even explore their options.

Talking about money is still something a lot of people find uncomfortable 💬

Yet money impacts so many parts of our lives: the homes we live in, the choices we make, the stress we carry, and the future we hope to build.

And still, so many people grow up without ever really being taught how mortgages work, how credit affects them, or how to manage money confidently.

Honestly, I think it’s something that should be discussed far more in school and Im hoping to deliver more sessions in schools next year to school leavers.

Because so much anxiety around money comes from not understanding it or feeling like you’re supposed to already know.

You’re not.

Asking questions about budgeting, borrowing, saving, or buying a home shouldn’t feel embarrassing. It should feel normal.

Sometimes one honest conversation can give someone clarity, reassurance, and confidence they’ve been missing for years.

June is National Homeownership Month 🏡

And every year, I think about how many people still believe owning a home is “for other people.”

People who earn more.
People who have bigger deposits.
People who seem more prepared.

But after years in this industry, one thing I’ve learned is this:

So many people are closer than they think.

Sometimes they just need someone to help them understand their options, guide them through the process, and remind them that homeownership can still be possible.

Because owning a home isn’t just about buying property.

It’s about security.
Stability.
Building a future.
Having something that’s yours.

Spent Friday evening at Down Royal with some of my team and female brokers from across NI...hosted by Progressive Building Society. Great food, great company, Seaneen Darragh , it was a brilliant nights craic and I even had a wee win. (Gambling is not recommended when applying for your mortgage). 😉

I love these events, its an opportunity to meet other women who are facing the same challenges, work, life, family, menopause and much more! So its nice to get some well needed down time. Im a big suppprter of women in this business, 10 years on, Im still learning and Im still trying to build a sucessful business. But Im open to learning and sharing...getting support from other women in the industry is crucial thats why these events are so important...building a great business is one thing, supporting someone else to build a great business is something else. It was great to have a chat with some new faces and share experience and knowledge..Wishing all the ladies who were there every success this year.
