The beauty of exclusive hire? We don’t always get to see the finished masterpiece.

That is rather the point!

When you hire Wickbottom Barn the space is exclusively yours as is the freedom to create an event that is intimately you!

It also means we don’t often get to see the wonderful transformations taking place behind the scenes. By the time everything is dressed, the suppliers have departed and the guests are arriving, the barn has become something entirely different.

We couldn’t resist sharing a little glimpse of a recent set up - the best thing about a blank canvas is that no two celebrations ever need to look the same.

The middle of nowhere, exactly where you want to be.

Hidden away in the Wiltshire countryside, Wick Bottom Barn gives you the space, privacy and freedom to gather your favourite people and make the place entirely your own.

Dinner inside. Drinks outside. Back in for dancing. Out again for a little air.

Our courtyard gives the party room to spill outside and makes the whole barn feel like yours for the day.
Which, of course, it is.

Because a good party needs somewhere equally good to retreat to.

Soft furnishings, comfortable corners and plenty of places to sit, chat, regroup… or briefly escape the dance floor before going back for more.

Some rooms were simply made for candlelight.
Long tables, old stone walls, exposed beams and candles flickering well into the evening. One of our favourite ways to see the barn.

The flowers. The linen. The glassware. The menus. The tiny details you spend months thinking about that somehow come together to make the whole room feel just right.
Obsession encouraged.

A proper bar deserves a space of its own.

Separate from the main barn, but close enough to keep the party flowing — a space for cocktails, catching up and that inevitable final drink you definitely didn’t need.

The big moments matter. But so do the corners in between.

A quiet drink, a conversation away from the dance floor, five minutes with someone you haven’t seen in years.

Let the season have a say.

One of the joys of a countryside wedding is leaning into what’s naturally at its best — abundant summer stems, softer autumnal tones or something gloriously wild and undone.

As dusk starts to settle on this year’s harvest, we look back to a little farm tour we held before it all began…

Before the combines rolled, before the fields turned from gold to stubble, we welcomed a wonderful group to experience the farm at one of its most beautiful moments.

The evening began with a trailer ride through the rolling countryside…

…taking in uninterrupted views across the estate…

…stopping for crop walks and conversations in the fields…

Together, we explored the farm’s heritage, discussed the topography that shapes the landscape…

…met some of our livestock, and gained an insight into the decisions and stewardship behind a working farm…

As the sun began to dip, everyone returned to Wick Bottom Barn for refreshments, good food, and even better conversation—sharing stories long into the evening in the courtyard.

It’s these experiences that make Wick Bottom Barn more than just an event venue. They create an opportunity to connect with the landscape, the people who care for it, and one another.
