A farmer is encouraging fellow landowners to get their off-road vehicles and machinery tagged with trackers after police swiftly recovered his buggy on Monday morning (7 September).
A Kawazaki Mule was stolen from a farm in Ledbury around 4.20am but thanks to it being fitted with a tracking device it was quickly located 30 minutes later near Poolbrook Road in Malvern.
Officers used the buggyโs tracker to find it, and it has now been returned to its rightful owner. Enquiries are ongoing into the incident.
Rural and Business Crime Officer John Meek said: โThis quick recovery of the buggy shows the importance of attaching a tracking device to rural vehicles.
โThe farmer has his vehicle back already, was grateful to have taken our advice to fit it and wants to encourage other farmers and landowners to do the same to protect their vehicles.โ
