Constance Moss School of Dance

Established in 1934. Celebrating over 90 years of dance, and family-run for 4 generations. The legacy of the School has since continued by Principal, Mrs.

The Constance Moss School was established 88 years ago in 1934 by Connie herself. Denie Robinson, and her daughter, Stephanie who teaches the girls. Over the years we've had thousands of girls (and even boys at the very beginning!) pass through our doors, and we celebrated an amazing 80 years of CMSOD at our Anniversary reunion in July 2014 with past pupils from through the years. The girls also, most recently, put on a fantastic Dance Display at the Epstein Theatre in June 2018, photographs of which can be found on our page. Displays have been in held in the Epstein Theatre (also in it's previous names the Crane and the Neptune) as well as the Kirkby Suite and former Notre Dame School Performance Theatre. Our 2020 Display was delayed due to Covid but girls have recently taken ADA exams in April 2022 following our return. For present pupils, we'll be using this page to post reminders about things like Parents' Social Evenings, Cafe Day and the Christmas Party, as well as magic numbers, costume money and prizes! It's also for prospective pupils. Please invite any friends or people with daughters who are interested in starting. Contact information is in the header but please message or post on the page for us to give you further details. Thank you, Constance Moss girls! Lots of dancing love

A big well done to our lovely Esmé in Class 2, and her mum Jess, who featured on BBC Merseyside this morning talking about hearing loss and navigating life with Pendred syndrome, which Esmé has lived with since she was 4. ♥️

Whether she’s dancing or enjoying school or her other extracurricular activities, Esmé brings so much confidence, determination and enthusiasm to everything she does. We’re so proud of her singing, dancing and kindness to everyone in her class week in week out, and especially proud to hear her being such a brilliant radio star this morning! ✨

You can rewind BBC Radio Merseyside’s live stream to around 8.18am today to hear Jess and Esmé in action. They were amazing! 👏🏼♥️✨

Another gorgeous morning with our CMSOD girls and families to close out the 2025/26 dance year ♥️🩰

Thank you all for an amazing year - we are so proud of our girls for how much they’ve grown in their dance ability, friendships and life skills this year. They really are the loveliest, kindest girls and we love spending our Saturdays with them, from our tiny two year olds to our students and all the girls in between.

Have a lovely summer - hopefully in the sunshine! - and we’ll see you in September ♥️🩰

A big thank you from me (Chloe!) to everyone who donated to the collection ahead of Tom and I getting married in August - it was such a lovely surprise yesterday and we are so grateful. I can’t wait to share snippets of our day with you all in just 9 weeks time. 🤍

It just happened to be that Where Is My Husband? has been the biggest song of the year, and our older girls (+ Holly who was sadly at Harry Styles in London yesterday!) have absolutely smashed it shaping their own choreography end-to-end and pulling off the bestttt routine. We’ve been so proud and have had so much fun watching this come together for the past few weeks and seeing the girls’ passion, excitement, leadership/teamwork skills and bonds with each other reach new heights. They added all the props and details themselves (including confetti cannons!) and it was just amazing - and all whilst 5 of them have been working so hard for their GCSE exams. You can see it again in 2 weeks time at our Cafe Day in each class. 😍

Feeling even more bridal with this gorgeous dance in the year of our wedding! Well done girls 👰🏼‍♀️🤵🏼💐
