Dessert week at Whitesides🍮🍫🥧
With Yannis leaving the Bake Off tent, it was Sarah's turn to face the Whitesides Bake Off challenge.

Her brief?
A trio of desserts.
Her delivery?
✅ Syrup Sponge,
✅ Apple & Blueberry Crumble,
✅ Chocolate Profiteroles.

Sarah really whisked up a storm this week... we're not saying she's after Star Baker, but she's certainly profiterole-ing from Yannis' exit! 😉⭐

🥖 Bread Week delivered the goods! 🥖

After Molly's exit from GBBO, Daniel was tasked with recreating Bread Week for the Whitesides Cup.🏆

He certainly wasn't loafing around, producing a delicious focaccia and a bonus batch of fruit scones for the office to enjoy.

Another contestant gone, another baker challenged, and another excuse for us all to eat far too many carbs. 🍞😂

🍰Week 2 of the Whitesides Great British Bake Off Challenge! 🍰

With Shannon leaving the tent, Charlotte stepped up this week with a delicious lemon drizzle cake.🍋

As always, the judges made the ultimate sacrifice and sampled generous portions in the interest of fairness and accuracy. 🍰👀

The Whitesides Cup battle is starting to heat up, our waistlines are starting to expand, and the pressure is on for the next baker.

The only question now is... who'll be leaving leaving the tent next? 🎂🏆😆

We swapped spreadsheets for scorecards on Saturday night at the Quingo event at Cookridge Village Hall! 📊➡️🎲

The evening included:
✅ A joint 5th place quiz finish (we'll take it!)
✅ Russell winning a round of bingo
✅ A fantastic fish and chip supper
✅ Plenty of laughs along the way

A huge thank you to everyone involved in organising the event. It's always nice to support local community initiatives, and we're already looking forward to the next one. Hopefully we'll see even more faces there next time... and maybe improve on 5th place! 😉

Ready, set... BAKE! 🍪🏆

Our Great British Bake Off Challenge 2026 is underway, but this year there’s a twist! Every bake counts towards the Whitesides Cup, meaning there’s more than just baking glory on the line. There are precious team points up for grabs too! 👀

With Danni the first to leave the show, Sophie was handed the first challenge: cookies.

She treated us to:
🍪 Spiced white choc chip cookies stuffed with Biscoff
AND
🍪 Gluten-free triple choc cookies stuffed with marshmallow fluff

Not a bad way to kick things off! 🤤

Sophie has well and truly thrown down the gauntlet and set the bar VERY high for the rest of the bakers!

At this rate, by the end of the competition there’ll be two winners: the Whitesides Cup champions and whoever can still fasten their trousers. 😂🏆🍪

But the big question is... who will be next to leave the tent, and which Whitesides baker will be stepping up to the challenge? 👀🎂

What better way to say goodbye than with a pub quiz?! 🍻🤓

At the end of August, we gave Reece a proper send-off before he headed off on his travels around Asia 🌏✈️. Once he’s finished adventuring, he’ll be swapping us for life in Manchester!
