Following our wonderful Family Fun Day, we were so pleased to donate £700 plus £150 in Gift Aid, to Rory’s Well, a charity that holds a very special place in Flexicare’s heart. 💚💙
Rory’s Well does such incredible work supporting communities in Sierra Leone, and it means so much to us to be able to play a small part in making a difference.
Thanks to the kindness and generosity of everyone who supported our Family Fun Day, this donation is already helping families when they need it most.
We wanted to share some lovely words from Karen at Rory’s Well, which really show just how much your support means.
"A huge thank you to the amazing Flexicare team and clients and everyone who came to the wonderful summer Fun Day for raising a fabulous £850 for Rory’s Well.
You literally are life savers. The funds arrived just in the nick of time to help us support several communities who had been impacted by serious flooding in August and September around the Moa River in Sierra Leone where we work.
It is heart breaking to see families who have so little have their houses and meagre possessions damaged and crops they rely on for feeding their families ruined.
With your help we were able to provide emergency food, tarpaulins, water purifying tablets and seeds to replant farms to avoid real food shortage in the coming months.
We have also embarked on emergency testing and chlorination of our 180 wells starting in the worst hit areas to avoid an outbreak of cholera and other health issues.
Huge thanks to everyone for giving so generously - together we can really make a difference in the world."
