They say that, in a disaster, you should look for the helpers. It feels like we’re in a constant cycle of disasters and, perversely, some our bravest helpers are under attack. We have to keep countering the aggression masquerading as patriotism. Compassion, hope and community are what I choose to promote and what I still believe most people care about.

I hate these posters advertising ANY business, but when they’re for ‘creative’ events it really boils my p!ss. The unnecessary environmental impact is enough of a turn off on its own, but couple that with an underlying disdain for design, unique thought, human skill and creativity- it makes me scream! It’s the perfect way to tell me you don’t actually value visual arts at all. Give me hand drawn ideally but even clip art or Comic bloody Sans. SOMETHING that has taken a HUMAN a moment to actually think about what they want to convey and how they might do it. I’m not suggesting every village fete hires a designer, but a photo of the venue with some bold text on top would be a trillion times better than these generic, muddy, soulless, identikit puke-fests.

The International Organization for Migration estimates that there could be anywhere from 25 million to 1 billion environmental migrants by the year 2050. You would think that Nigel and his ilk would be the most climate conscious activists alive, wouldn’t you? Unless, wait, they wouldn’t be doing it for the r@cist grift as a distraction from the billions pouring into their divisive narrative from fossil fuel companies and tech giants, would they? I’m not sure that I have the energy or inclination for any of this. Most people genuinely do want the same things: clean air and water, food security, a functioning health service, great education, green spaces and nice things to do. Big p Politics as we know it doesn’t ever seem to reflect that. All I heard on the radio was who would be best placed to beat Reform.
