£425.34 donated to the League of Friends of Stratton Hospital on Sunday June 21st with Thanks to Christine, Jill, Louise, Di, Michael & Cynthia holding the buckets. I so appreciate that amount on our special day. THANK YOU It makes it so worthwhile.

We wait now to see if Sunday June 28th can bring out the sunshine once more?

Just to say our strict rules were enforced with a seller sent packing when found selling items out of his van we don’t allow. What you do at other sales you will not get away with here. Alcohol isn’t allowed or vapes at Pendeen even radios on if annoyance to other sellers or buyers. These rules have been since the beginning's other than vapes a few years ago now. As I’ve said before our reputation is held high and we act when someone tries to take advantage of our sales.

No buyers should even contemplate driving through the designated walkways between 1pm and 3.30pm when very busy. Just as sellers leaving any earlier unless the sale has quietened down. Was still busy yesterday with folk slower packing away with the warm sunshine. ☀️

It's been a tremendous weekend for Sandra and I celebrating our Ruby wedding Anniversary 21st June 2026

Last night we managed to raise £265.00 with a celebratory sequence dance at Clawton Parish Hall towards their funds.

Today at the car boot sale at Pendeen £1,000 was raised and given to Launceston Hospital with another £1,000 going to Cornwall Air Ambulance.

We may have missed a meal together today but with so many congratulations, cards and gifts it's been a real joy to share our special day with so many.

Huge Thanks to Darren and Lou for baking the two cakes well done Darren and delivering to the hall.

May have been a smaller sale today but so worthwhile for the sellers in the warm sunshine.

Sandra and I thank all those that have commented on our pages, it's been a wonderful day and a weekend to remember. ❤

Looks to be dry for Sunday June 21st as I posted before.

Longest day.

Father's Day.

Sandra and I celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary (Ruby). Thunder and Lightning whilst saying our vows all those years ago. June 21st, 1986

With my 70th back in April and now our special anniversary we celebrated with our holidays before the car boot season started and unless Sunday was rained off. We decided to celebrate with you and hopefully have a wonderful day although we have a late night before. Pendeen will be open as normal this coming Sunday. 🎉

John, Shirley, Rob, Di, Cynthia & Michael managed to raise £459.46 simply by holding the donation buckets from 1pm for our hospital at Stratton. This was Sunday June 14th. THANK YOU to them and all those appreciating our sale at Pendeen.
One of our sellers stopped me and told me to keep going and collect for our much-needed hospital. It's the one place where locals and visitors can benefit whenever the need may arise.

Stratton Hospital has its annual fete this Saturday 20th in the afternoon.

THANK YOU EVERYONE in supporting Pendeen and making it so worthwhile to attend. I was on site at 5.30am and left at 5.30pm it is a long day for some of us and those that travel so far being so loyal.🙂

211 sellers at Pendeen today in the sunshine. Plenty of buyers early and later, good to see the second car park in good use. New sellers attending, coming again very soon. Always good to hear such amazing feedback from the visitors especially to Keith who operates the Tanoy. Thank you for leaving the site litter free. We provide the site for your enjoyment with Pendeen being on top form in the Southwest. Maybe next Sunday 21st we will be on par as today giving our volunteers an easier day to manage rather than a large sale. 🤔

Gosh the generosity and appreciation shown yesterday June 7th by folk coming in from 1pm for such a small car boot sale. £391.63 THANK YOU, The League of Friends of Stratton Hospital are so grateful.

We are thrilled to have achieved this on such a cloudy day not knowing if a shower was imminent. Debi, Christine, John, Michael & Cynthia standing /sitting in a windy cold location with the buckets. THANK YOU. Total to date this season £4,270.56 well down on last year's record breaker at present but that is down to the wet season to start with and the forecasts. Which had this been a cancellation and having so many to start with makes such a difference.

Forecast looks good for the forthcoming next two Sundays June 14th and 21st presumably the larger sales will be back attracting many from all over the Southwest. 🤔

Checking the weather forecast around 11.45pm Saturday thinking should be okay. Then looking again 5am Sunday Met Office worse, BBC rain late afternoon. Should have cancelled! But we had decided to open. Knowing by 9.30am regular sellers were not going to chance it. But the 93 sellers that sold today without getting wet gave the eager buyers something to look around at. Haven’t had such a small sale since the weekday ones. It's going to be interesting what's donated as money was flying in, in appreciation for opening in the first place with many phone calls expecting a cancellation message.

Obviously, I was disappointed not to get the 100 sellers, but the forecast was so varying I’m not a bit surprised. But so THANKFUL to have took the chance and proved the Met wrong. Just hope now the forecast is correct for next weekend looking good at the moment. If the sun shines and is warmer next Sunday 14th we should easily double the number of sellers.

THANK YOU for the support and bravery today in attending, easy day for the volunteers.

It’s a long day for sellers arriving at 6.30am even from Plymouth at that time I was on site at 5.30am as unable to prepare yesterday with the wind so bad, the grass was dry even at that time. Thank you to those sellers that updated me and had a good day and to the buyers spending and carrying goods to the car parks.
WAS IT WORTHWHILE? I THINK SO! 🙂

Decision has now been made to go ahead on Sunday you had a prewarning we might open and forecast looks to be okay.🤔
