One year ago today, I took this photo on my way into the office for the very first day of Ocean Insurance Brokers
After nearly 25 years in insurance, I’d made the decision to build something of my own. At that point, Ocean had no clients, just a clear idea of the type of brokerage I wanted to build and a massive amount of drive and determination.
Fast forward 12 months and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved in such a short period. We’ve built a growing client base, developed some fantastic relationships and, most importantly, built the business in the way I wanted to, personal service, properly understanding our clients and helping businesses improve their cover and, in many cases, save money.
We’ve also stayed true to our purpose. Through Broking for Good, 2% of our commission income from every policy goes towards supporting good causes, particularly those protecting our oceans and waterways. I look forward to sharing more on this over the coming months.
A huge thank you to every client, insurer, introducer, friend and family member who has supported us over the last 12 months. I couldn’t be more grateful.
I’m genuinely excited about what the next 12 months will bring.
