Nobody warns you about this part of a business: rejection.

William from Lansdown Place Wealth Management shared this straight from our Synergy Networking sit-downs (or stand-ups), and it's a lesson every business owner learns eventually.

You go in expecting to strike a deal with everyone you meet. The reality? A lot of conversations just won't go anywhere, and that's completely normal.

Not every person you speak to will be the right fit, and that's fine. Rejection isn't a sign you're doing something wrong, it's just part of doing business. The ones who are genuinely interested will show it.

He broke his arm a few weeks before a 108-mile cycling event. Doctor's orders were simple: rest, don't ride, give it three to six weeks.

Gav's plan? Keep training on Zwift, turn up to the start line, and see what happens.

108.5 miles. 9,100ft of elevation. 27 degrees. Arm not fully healed.

He crossed the finish line.
