Growth doesn't always come with wheels on it.
We've been working with Natalie Yates and the team at Central Power Services Ltd, a specialist power business that's been operating for four decades and continues to invest in what comes next.
Recently, we've helped fund two very different parts of that growth. A trailer. Easy to see. Easy to understand. An asset that helps the business physically do more.
And software. No wheels. Nothing arriving on the back of a transporter. Probably not getting its own handover photo on LinkedIn.
But every bit as important to where the business is going. Because growth isn't just about adding more equipment. It's about making sure the systems, infrastructure and technology behind a business can keep up with it.
Our relationship with Central Power Services has been built around understanding that bigger picture. We've maintained an open and transparent dialogue with Natalie about where the business is going, what they're investing in and where funding can genuinely help.
Sometimes that means we have an immediate answer. Sometimes it means challenging the requirement, looking at it differently or being clear about what we can and can't do.
That's what being a growth partner means to us. Not trying to fund everything. Understanding the plan and helping where we can add value.
Natalie Yates, Finance Director at Central Power Services, puts it well:
“What I've valued about working with One.funding is the open and consultative approach. We've been able to have transparent conversations about the business, where we're investing and what we're trying to achieve, rather than simply looking at individual funding requests.
The trailer and the software are very different investments, but both support where we're taking the business. One.funding understood that wider picture and have worked with us as a partner in our growth, rather than simply as a finance provider.”
That's exactly the type of relationship we want to build. Central Power Services knows its industry. Natalie knows where the business is heading.
Our job is to understand the journey well enough to know where funding can help. Sometimes that's a trailer. Sometimes it's software.
The important bit is knowing why the business needs either of them. Thanks to Natalie and the team for continuing to put their trust in One.funding.
We're looking forward to supporting what comes next.
