October, you were A LOT! 🤯🍂

We’ve been a little quiet on here recently… but we promise we haven’t disappeared! 😂

If anything, life has been busier than ever, both in and out of the office, so here’s a little photo dump of what we’ve been up to!

🏡 TWO house moves! Both Holly and Jasmin have moved house, so there’s been plenty of packing, unpacking, decorating and DIY going on (and we’re not sure either of us wants to see another cardboard box anytime soon! 😂).

🥂 A long overdue night out with avocadobicester We actually went out at the end of September and have been so busy we completely forgot to post about it! So here’s a few pictures from a brilliant night with the team!

💍 Wedding excitement! Holly and Owen have secured a date and a venue! As if we didn’t have enough going on, we’ve now got a wedding to plan too! 🥹❤️

🎃 Half-term and Halloween! Pumpkin picking, Halloween activities, family days out and keeping the little ones entertained!

☀️ A little bit of holiday time! Some much-needed family time squeezed in amongst the chaos.

💻 And somewhere in between all of that… we’ve been working! Mortgage applications, protection appointments, helping clients move into their dream homes and keeping up with everything happening in the mortgage world!

It’s been one of those months where we’ve barely had a minute to stop, let alone remember to post on social media!

But amongst all the chaos, one thing we never take for granted is the support we receive from you all. ❤️

Whether you’ve trusted us with your mortgage or insurance, recommended us to a friend, left us a lovely review or simply liked and shared our posts, we are forever grateful. You’re the reason we get to do what we love, and we genuinely couldn’t do it without you! 🫶

So apologies for being a little MIA. We’re still here, still working hard behind the scenes and still doing what we love.

Here’s to November… although looking at our diaries, we don’t think it’s going to be much quieter! 😂

We honestly don’t think we could be any happier for Holly and Owen if we tried 🥹🤍💍

Five years ago they found a place they completely fell in love with, and this week they went back to that very same beautiful place, to the same restaurant that held so many special memories for them… only this time, Owen had a slightly bigger plan up his sleeve.

HE ASKED HER TO MARRY HIM!!! 😭💍🥂

And honestly, no one deserves this happiness more than Holly and her beautiful little family.

What a year it has been for them. First welcoming gorgeous Mabel-Shirley and becoming a beautiful family of four, then finding their forever family home to make all those memories in… and now Holly gets to marry the love of her life. 🥹🤍

Could there actually be a more perfect year?!

We are SO unbelievably happy for you both and cannot wait to watch you plan the most amazing wedding.

And by “watch you plan”, obviously we mean offer completely unsolicited opinions, send approximately 47 wedding TikToks a day, create Pinterest boards nobody asked for and somehow make ourselves part of every wedding-related decision 😂

Holly, we hope you realise you’re absolutely not planning this wedding alone. You’ve basically just given us all a new full-time job… as if we didn’t have enough going on already 😂

Couldn’t love you all more and genuinely couldn’t be happier for your gorgeous family.

What a night 🤍

We feel so lucky to have been a small part of ‘A Night for Martyn’

Martyn’s sister Kelly, with the help of her friends, family, local businesses and the Bicester community, put together the most incredible evening to celebrate Martyn and what would have been his 40th birthday.

The night raised an absolutely incredible £30,570.85 for The Fire Fighters Charity, with the total raised since going on to pass £31,000 ❤️

It was so lovely to see how many people came together to support Kelly, remember Martyn and make the night what it was. You could really feel just how loved he was and how much the evening meant to everyone there.

We were so proud to be one of the local businesses supporting the night and feel really honoured that we got to be there and be a small part of something so special.

Kelly and everyone involved should be SO proud of what they created. What an amazing tribute to Martyn ❤️

The wait is almost over! Tomorrow is the Teddy Bears Picnic, and we can't wait to welcome you to Garth Park from 11:00am until 4:00pm for a day packed with family fun.

🎟️ No tickets are required to attend. If you registered for a ticket, thank you! That was just to help us estimate numbers – we won’t be scanning tickets on the day.

The Bank of England has announced that the base rate will remain at 3.75%. 📢

No change this time around, which means it’s business as usual for now.

If you’re already on a fixed-rate mortgage, today’s announcement won’t change your monthly payment. If you’re on a tracker or standard variable rate, your lender is unlikely to make any changes following today’s decision. And if your mortgage deal is coming to an end, it’s still worth reviewing your options sooner rather than later.

The base rate is just one factor that influences mortgage rates, so whether you’re buying your first home, moving, remortgaging or simply wondering what this means for you, every situation is different.

As always, we’ll keep you updated after each Bank of England announcement so you know what it means without all the jargon.
