Some people think or tell me,
“Wow, she really has her life together. She's always out on an adventure or vacation."

Here's the secret 👇🤗

As a special needs mom, it's not a luxury. It's maintenance. 😄 its a way of surviving! Its a way na mag charge ng battery para lumaban ulit🤗

When you're home too long, the emotions get big and the stress gets bigger.

Your nervous system runs on fumes, and nobody is calm and present at 2% battery.

So yes, I'll take the adventure, even small trip, having my own time to be myself
I'll take the coffee with a view. I go window shopping.I eat the food that I crave and date myself.
I'll take short vacation, even if I pack lots of things and a backup plan for the backup plan.

Because when you carry this many tasks, you can't forget yourself.

Rest helps us function well.

Functioning with rested body helps us show up as the mom our child needs.

So take the trip. Take the walk. Take the nap. 💛

Taking care of yourself is part of taking care of your family.😘Happy week end everyone!

You're such a strong woman, juggling multiple tasks.😘

Every appointment you show up for, every form you fill out, every call you make, it all adds up to something big: a child who knows they are loved and fought for.❤️

You may not feel strong every day. But strength isn't about having it all figured out.

It's about getting back up, again and again, for the one who needs you most. No choice kundi ang lumaban arawaraw.

Your love is changing a life. Never ever forget that.
Take a breath, momsh. You are doing better than you think. 🙌

When my son was diagnosed, my whole world shifted.

Nobody hands you a manual for this.

One day you're a mom with plans. The next, you're juggling appointments, paperwork, programs, and unsolicited opinions.

Somewhere in that season, I realized something:
I couldn't carry all of this and other people's negativity.

So I became selective. Very selective.
I started paying attention to:
Who I let into my circle
Whose advice I listen to
Where I spend my time

Not because I'm better than anyone. But because I needed to protect my energy.

I needed a positive perspective. Not the fake kind that pretends everything is fine, but the kind that says:

"This is hard, and I can still find the good in it."
Because hardship is real, but the lens you look through changes how you walk through it.
Now I surround myself with people who share that mindset.

Moms who get it without long explanations.
Friends who celebrate the small wins: a new word, a calm day, a hard appointment survived.
People who remind me we're not just coping. We're growing.

To every special needs mom reading this:
You are allowed to be choosy about who walks
with you.

Protect your peace. Find your people.
Your journey is heavy enough without carrying voices that weigh you down.😘

Grateful for the smallest things and the greatest miracle of all, my son. ❤️😭🙏🏼

Thank you for every little victory, for strength on the long days, and for trusting me to be his mom. 🙏

Happy Thanksgiving, especially to all special needs parents! 🍁

Think you can't get the Disability Tax Credit because you work? 💼 Then watch this!

"I work full-time, so I can't get the DTC, right?" 🤔

Not necessarily!☺️

The DTC isn't based on whether you have a job. It looks at how a severe and prolonged impairment affects your everyday activities.

So before you rule yourself out, check this out!

General information only, not a guarantee of eligibility.

Eligibility is decided by CRA and requires certification by a medical practitioner.

Not affiliated with CRA. The DTC application is free to submit directly to CRA.

This is so true, momsh.

Some days I cry in the washroom over the dreams that took a different turn.
Then a few hours later, I'm laughing because my son said the sweetest thing.

😭 "Mommy is pretty!" 🤪murag gi atik atik rako nya para di masuko😛

Do you know this feeling?

Hiding in the washroom for 10 minutes just to breathe, then walking out smiling and acting like nothing happened after a crazy day.😩

Filling out the 4rth form this month and wondering if anyone will ever read it.

Hearing "He looks fine" or "He doesn't look autistic" and not knowing whether to laugh or cry.

Scrolling past other families' milestones, happy for them but quietly hurting.🥹😘

Then hearing the teacher has positive feedback about your child at school, and your whole heart melts.

It turns out you can do both.

You can grieve and be grateful.

You can be exhausted and proud.

You can miss the life you imagined and love the one you have.

That doesn't make you ungrateful. It makes you human. 🥹🙏🏼

If this feels familiar, you're not alone. We're here, and we get it. Keep going🤗😘

🚨 SPECIAL NEEDS PARENTS IN CANADA, PLEASE READ THIS! ❤️

What if there are financial benefits available for your child that you haven’t explored yet?

When I became a special-needs mom, I realized that planning for our child’s future means more than providing food, shelter, therapy, and love.

We also need to understand our financial options. ❤️

🇨🇦 Here are 3 things every special-needs parent should know about:

✅ 1. DTC – Disability Tax Credit

An important tax credit that eligible individuals may qualify for. It may also help with certain tax adjustments for previous years.

✅ 2. RDSP – Registered Disability Savings Plan

A long-term savings plan that may qualify for government grants and bonds to help build savings for a person with a disability.

✅ 3. FUTURE FINANCIAL PLANNING

From emergency savings to long-term financial arrangements, small steps today can help us prepare for our children's future needs.

Mama, you don't have to figure everything out today.

You don't have to be rich to start learning.

And you don't have to walk this journey alone. ❤️

Sometimes, the first step is simply knowing what questions to ask.

👇 QUESTION FOR YOU:

Before today, had you heard about the DTC and RDSP in Canada?

Comment “I KNEW” or “I’M LEARNING” below. Let's learn together! ❤️🇨🇦

Educational information only. Eligibility for tax benefits and government contributions depends on applicable requirements and individual circumstances.

I used to think the DTC was only for physical disabilities too.🥹

You're juggling therapy waitlists, school meetings, and a thousands of forms.

And somewhere along the way, someone told you the Disability Tax Credit is only for wheelchairs.😩

It's not.
Autism, ADHD, speech delay, and other conditions may qualify, depending on how they affect daily life.

Most families never apply because they assume it's not for them.

Here's who it can actually cover 👇
