THANK YOU MCC and Rich Spence, for the incredible honour to be part of the ELITE EVENT!!

This was an incredible 2 day event where Canada's top mortgage brokers came to 'think bigger', collaborate, and share ideas.

As a Mortgage Agent and business owner, I'm always trying to implement ways to better serve my clients, stay on top of technology, and run my business cost effectively.

It was wonderful to connect with our Lenders, Equifax, First Canadian Title, and other top industry veterans. There were many takeaways and strategies I plan to implement.

Here is a glimpse of the beautiful Queen's Landing Hotel in Niagara-on-the-Lake and my time at this event. The food was delicious and the vintage and elegant energy of the hotel was marvelous. Feeling so Happy 😍

Monica the Mortgage Lady Incorporated is a business built on INTEGRITY. Not every decision is an easy one, but I stand on business every single time with zero regrets.

The journey started as far back as high school when I graduated with the business award. I continued my education and graduated from 3 year Business Administration in college in 1994. I was hired at the bank, quickly obtain my mutual funds license, moved up to Financial Services Officer, and was part of the opening staff of two new branches. I left the bank in 2003 to become a Mortgage Agent, and obtained my mortgage license in 2004. I'm honoured to have won many industry awards over the years, but my greatest achievement is to remain humble and respected by my clients, colleagues, and industry partners. I wouldn't be where I am today without the great brokerage and lender support, and great client loyalty.

Why am I telling you this? It's always been about the clients, and treating people how they deserve! I'm looking for clients who are serious about retaining my mortgage services. The last 35+ years have cultivated a great network and profound level of experience. I'm committed to providing dedicated, knowledgeable, and professional service and advice to my clients. I'm not interested in taking time away from my loyal clients to talk about rate only. If you're all in for me, I'm all in for you and your family.

Thank you, First National and my Business Development Manager, Yvonne Thomson, for the Ladies Appreciation High Tea Event 🤍

The Prince of Wales Hotel in Niagara-on-the-Lake was a spectacular place for the event. The history, architecture, and details were so stunning that I had to share some pics 🤗

It was so nice to have the opportunity to see the inside of this historic building! It was built in 1864, holds 110 rooms, and was visited by Queen Elizabeth II in 1973. It truly is a symbol of luxury and would be a lovely spot for a Mothers Day celebration if you're looking for something unique and special. 🌸

It was lovely to connect with some special ladies, take a break, and catch our breath.

When the bank of Canada holds the lending rate steady, this means that the central bank did not change the key policy interest rate. Since the prime rate is directly tied to the bank of Canada's overnight rate, this means that the prime rate also remains unchanged. The prime rate is currently at 4.45%.

What does this mean for you? If you're in a Variable Mortgage, your payment will remain unchanged. If you have a secured or unsecured line of credit, your interest rate will remain unchanged.

Persistent inflation, bond yields, oil prices, and a high deficit in Canada will affect mortgage fixed rates. If your mortgage matures anytime this year or the start of 2027, and you would like to discuss your options please reach out to me anytime! Let's set up a time to connect ☎️📞
