This Seniors Month, let's talk about staying safe. Grandparent scams are targeting our older adults. Awareness is your best defense.

How It Works:
Scammers call claiming to be a grandchild in legal trouble, asking for urgent money via wire transfer, crypto or gift cards. They pressure you to keep it secret.

Don't Fall for It:
• Hang up and verify – Call your grandchild directly to confirm the story
• Ask questions – If they say "It's me," ask which grandchild is calling
• Set a family password – Agree on a code word for real emergencies
• Never rush – Legitimate agencies don't send couriers for cash payments
• Never send money - Lawyers and police don't collect money this way

If something feels off, it probably is. Trust your instincts and reach out to family or authorities. Stay informed. Stay safe. Protect what matters.

This past Friday was a fun afternoon of cheering on some of our Sun Life team at bowling! 🎳
Even though I wasn’t able to bowl myself, it was still so nice getting out, supporting our people, sharing laughs, and enjoying time together outside of work. It was also pretty funny seeing everyone’s competitive side come out once the games started 😂

Moments like these are such a good reminder of how important it is to connect, build relationships, and make time for fun as a team. It’s not always about the score — sometimes it’s just about showing up, cheering each other on, and enjoying the memories made along the way. 😊💛☀️🙌🏼

This morning I had the opportunity to volunteer at Hope for Wildlife in Seaforth, Nova Scotia with some members of our Sun Life team. It was an incredible experience seeing firsthand the care and dedication that goes into rehabilitating injured and orphaned wildlife.

I’m grateful to have been able to support such an amazing organization that makes a meaningful impact on both wildlife and our community.

If you come across wildlife in any situation they shouldn’t be in, or hurt, the team at Hope For Wildlife are your people to call immediately! They are extremely knowledgeable and can help! ♥️
