WHAT MATTERS MONDAY 💭

Me again with a question to get you thinking! 🤔💕☺️

When was the last time you asked yourself:

“If I couldn’t work tomorrow, how long could my current lifestyle continue?”

Not forever. Not even a year.

Just… how long??

Your mortgage. Your groceries. Your car payment. Your phone bill. Your kids’ activities. Your everyday life.

We spend so much time protecting the things we own, but our ability to earn an income is what allows us to pay for all of it.

Sometimes the most important financial conversation starts with one simple question.

What would happen if your paycheque stopped?

That’s something worth thinking about this Monday. ❤️

If this has you feeling uneasy and you want to chat, I am one message away! 🥰 let’s talk!

Enjoy your Labour Day Monday!

🚨 SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS — ARE YOUR EMPLOYEES ASKING FOR BENEFITS?

If you’ve ever heard an employee say, “Do you offer benefits?”… this post is for you! 👀

Benefits can be a powerful tool for attracting and retaining great employees, but I know that as a small business owner, you also have to make sure the solution makes sense for your budget and your business.

💡 The good news? It doesn’t have to be one-size-fits-all.

I can help you explore options and build a benefits solution tailored to your business and your employees. Whether you have 2 employees or 20+, it’s worth having a conversation!

👇 Small business owners:

Do you currently offer employee benefits?
YES — we already have a plan
NO — but I’ve been thinking about it
HELP! — I have no idea where to start!

Drop a comment or send me a message! 📩

And if you know a small business owner who could benefit from this conversation, tag them below or send them my way! ❤️

A Little Thank You From Me 💕

I just wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU.

To everyone who follows my page, likes, comments, shares my posts, sends me a message, tags a friend, refers someone to me, or simply takes the time to read what I put out there — I appreciate you more than you know. 🥹

Being self-employed and building my own business has been one of the most rewarding—and challenging—things I’ve ever done. There’s no guaranteed paycheque, no paid time off, and no “automatic” business coming through the door. A lot of what I’m building comes from relationships, trust and word of mouth.
That’s why every referral means so much to me. ❤️

When you tell a friend, family member, coworker or someone in your community about me, you’re not just sending me a potential client — you’re putting your trust and your reputation behind my name. I don’t take that lightly, and I’m incredibly grateful for it.

And those little things you might not think twice about—sharing one of my posts, commenting, liking, tagging someone, or reaching out with a question—actually make a BIG difference when you’re building a business from the ground up.
There are definitely days where self-employment feels scary and I wonder if what I’m putting out there is reaching people.

Then someone sends me a message.
Someone shares a post.
Someone refers a friend.
Someone says, “I thought of you when we were talking about insurance.”

And I’m reminded just how lucky I am to have people cheering me on. 🥹💙

So whether you’ve been following along from the beginning or you just recently found my page, thank you for being here.

Thank you for supporting my business.
Thank you for trusting me.
Thank you for recommending me.
And thank you for helping me grow something that I truly care about.

I’m so grateful for every single one of you. 🫶

And if you’ve ever referred someone to me, please know that I’m genuinely grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me. It means more than you realize. 💙

Here’s to continuing to have the conversations that matter and helping more people protect what matters most. ✨

💭 A conversation today got me thinking about how much the insurance industry has changed… and honestly, that’s a GOOD thing.

I had the opportunity to chat with a client’s parents today, and we got talking about what insurance looked like when they were younger compared to what’s available today.

And it really put things into perspective.

Insurance 30, 40, even 60 years ago looked very different. There were fewer types of coverage, fewer options, different underwriting practices, and much less flexibility in how policies could be designed.
Today, we have so many more ways to build protection around real life — not just around what happens when someone passes away.

We can look at things like:
✨ Protecting your income if you can’t work
✨ Critical illness coverage if life throws you a curveball
✨ Mortgage protection
✨ Health and dental benefits
✨ Travel insurance
✨ Life insurance designed around different stages of life

And I think sometimes when people hear, “That’s not how it used to be,” they assume that means something has gotten worse.

But in insurance, change can be a really good thing. ❤️

The needs of families have changed. The way we work has changed. The cost of living has changed. Our financial responsibilities have changed.

So naturally, the ways we protect ourselves should change too.

One of my favourite parts of being an advisor is having these conversations — especially with people who have had insurance for decades — because it gives us a chance to look at what they have, what has changed, and whether their coverage still makes sense for the life they’re living today.

Sometimes, the best insurance conversation isn’t about getting something new.

It’s simply about making sure what you already have still fits. 🏡❤️

Insurance has changed. And I think that’s something worth celebrating. 🎉

🛡️ Protect What Matters Monday

Life doesn't stand still—and neither should your financial protection.

Think about how much can change in just a few years:
🏡 Buying a home
💍 Getting married
👶 Growing your family
💼 Starting a new job or business
💰 Paying off debt

Each milestone is a great reminder to review your coverage and make sure it still fits your life today.
The best plan is one that grows with you.

My heart is feeling extra full after such a beautiful time in Newfoundland. ❤️
Getting to spend time surrounded by family, friends, and extended family was something I’ll truly cherish. And getting to be there to celebrate my sister and her new husband as they begin this next chapter together made it even more special. 💍🥂
There was so much love, laughter, happy tears, late nights, good conversations, and memories made that I know we’ll be talking about for years to come.
Watching my sister marry her person and seeing so many people we love come together to celebrate them was such a beautiful reminder of just how lucky we are to have the people we do in our lives. 🤍
Leaving Newfoundland with a very full heart, a little less sleep, and so many wonderful memories to hold onto. Until next time, NFLD. ❤️
Here’s to love, family, friendship, and the moments that remind us what really matters. 🥂✨

What day is it!?! 🛡️ Protect What Matters Monday!!!!
From your one and only… Kay!

🤔When people hear critical illness insurance, they often assume it's meant to pay hospital bills.

In Canada, many medical treatments are covered—but life doesn't stop when you're recovering.

There may still be everyday expenses like mortgage payments, groceries, childcare, travel for treatment, or taking unpaid time away from work.

Critical illness insurance is designed to provide financial flexibility so you can focus on healing instead of worrying about how you'll cover life's ongoing expenses.

It's not about expecting the worst—it's about preparing for the unexpected. ❤️
