It’s not just the kids who are back to school this fall. 📚 🤓

I’ve started studying for the Canadian Securities Institute’s Investment Funds in Canada (IFC) exam, basically the mutual funds licensing course here in Canada. It's the first of many (many!) steps toward working on my CFP designation.

Between client work, family, and training, it’s a juggle, but I’d rather be stretched than stagnant. If we’re not growing, then what are we doing? ✨

One more province / territory; one more milestone. Yukon, I'm officially licensed to support you! 🏔️💜

When I started in this industry, I didn't have a five-year plan that involved becoming licensed across multiple provinces. I just knew I wanted to keep learning, keep growing, and build a purpose-based career that gave me the opportunity to help people.

Building this business one step at a time, one opportunity at a time... And apparently in this case, one territory at a time! 😍

My "day at the office" looks a little different today! 💜

I’m at the racetrack doing something I absolutely love, but I also had a client who was ready to move forward with a new policy.

So… armed with my laptop, my new little Wi-Fi hub, a perfectly timed lunch break, and a quiet corner in the trailer, I gave her the time she needed to ask questions, understand her options, and feel confident about the decision she was making for her future.

It feels good to have a career that allows me to build something meaningful, help people create more peace of mind around their finances, AND still show up for the things that make me feel like me.

The racetrack is a huge part of my life, and so is the work I’m building. I don’t want to have to choose between the two... And today, I didn’t have to. 🏁 💜

I had such a nice meeting today with a friend from the racetrack who also happens to be a realtor.

We originally got together to talk about some ideas for events we could collaborate on, and somehow the conversation turned into talking about… pretty much everything.

Life, business, starting over, what’s next, growth, planning, and the fact that we’re both in that fun little perimenopause stage of life where apparently nothing is predictable anymore. 😂

But honestly, it was just really refreshing.

There’s something so nice about sitting down with another woman who is in a similar season of life and being able to talk openly about where we are, where we’re going, and what we want to create next.

I left feeling really energized by the conversation and excited about some of the ideas we came up with.

Funny how sometimes a “business meeting” ends up being just as much about the connection as it is about the business.

I’m really looking forward to seeing what we can create together. 💜

One of the things I’ve come to really appreciate about this work is that its never actually *just* about money.

People come to me because they want to buy a house, protect their family, plan for retirement, build a business, get out of debt, or just feel like they’re finally going to be able to get ahead. And beyond all that, people want to feel secure, confident, and in control of what comes next.

I love taking something that can feel complicated or overwhelming, and sitting down with someone, talking it through, and helping them see that they probably have more options than they realized!

That’s why I’m here 💜

Today, that's a power hut in Caribou while we're camping with the family! Tomorrow, we're off to PEI. 🏕️

One of the things I'm most grateful for is having a career that lets me keep learning, growing, and helping families, no matter where I happen to be.

Just popping in to say hi after a branding photoshoot at the office, on this humid Saturday!

It's been a very full summer, which means I've been a little quieter than usual. But rest assured, behind the scenes I've been learning, growing, and refreshing a few things.

I'm excited for what's ahead, and very much looking forward to sharing more financial education, meaningful conversations, and real-life moments again. 💜

It's a good day for a good day 💕

Made some calls, and booked some meetings. Now this afternoon I have onboarding training with Sun Life, followed by my first session with to end the day off.

Mom life will then takeover with dinner routines, piano and math work. Oh and and sewing a cape on a costume for camp next weekend 😉

For the first time in a long time, I feel like both personally and professionally, I'm in the right place at the right time. There's an alignment that's happened, where my capacity has increased, my mindset has shifted, and I feel so good about where my life is, and where it's going to take me.

It's funny how sometimes when you make some changes, and the ripple effects take you places you hadn't imagined for yourself. I'm loving the journey, and the people I'm meeting along the way. 😘
