Yesterday officially marked 10 years of Gowda-Singh Insurance, and when I think back to the beginning, I remember being so focused on keeping the lights on and making ends meet.

There have been sacrifices, unexpected challenges and days when I’ve questioned myself along the way. Some goals have taken longer than I imagined. But I’m proud of what we’ve built, and this milestone is a reminder to pause and celebrate how far we’ve come.

A decade later, success in this business means so much more to me. It’s about the team beside me, the relationships we’ve built and the communities we get to be part of.

Looking ahead, our focus is on making an even greater impact together, continuing to strengthen those relationships and showing up for the communities we serve.

I’m so thankful for the people and experiences that brought us here, and I’m excited about what the future holds.

It’s been an incredible 10 years. Here’s to making the next 10 even more amazing. 🎉

Today’s the day! We’re celebrating 10 years of Gowda-Singh Insurance. 🥂

We all have those things we dream about doing “one day.” For me, it was owning my own business. Ten years ago today, I opened the doors, and that “one day” became day one.

Every year since, Roger has made sure we take a “first day” photo to mark the occasion. Looking through them today brings back so many memories. From those early days to opening our new office and growing our family, so much life has happened between these pictures.

One of the biggest surprises has been the community I’ve found along the way. Clients have become friends, fellow business owners have become people I lean on, and I’ve had an incredible team beside me through it all.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of these 10 years. Getting to celebrate this milestone with you means so much.

Here’s to day one of year 11 and everything this next chapter will bring! 🎉

November 1st marks 10 years of Gowda-Singh Insurance, and I wanted to take a moment to look back at who I was on that very first day.

I had so many hopes for the business and the life I wanted to build alongside it. Some of those hopes are now part of my everyday life, from the office we work in to raising a family while running the business.

Other things haven’t followed the plan I had in my head. I’ve changed, learned and had to figure things out as I went, with some wonderful people beside me.

But the biggest surprise has been how much I’ve come to feel part of the Aurora community. I’d only moved here that same year, so I was getting to know a new town while finding my way as a business owner.

I couldn’t have pictured the relationships that would grow from being here, or how meaningful it would be to support one another through our businesses, local events and opportunities to give back.

Looking at these photos, I think day one me would have a lot to smile about. I had plenty to look forward to. I just didn’t know all of it yet.

I’ve been thinking a lot about legacy lately and what it really means to leave one behind.

Not just in business, but in life. The relationships we build, the people we impact, the lessons we carry with us, and the example we hope to set for the next generation.

As I look back on the last few years, I’ve been reflecting a lot on the people and experiences that have shaped where I am today, both personally and professionally.

And with some really big milestones coming up, these thoughts have been on my mind even more. There’s something I’ll be sharing with you all very soon, so stay tuned. ❤️

Maybe we’ve been thinking about it backwards… 🤔

We appreciate the cost of our everyday possessions and major purchases.

So it feels like a no-brainer to insure our phones, electronics, jewellery, and trips, in case something happens.

But what about the cost of losing something even more important: You.
