The Community Bank Brendale was one of the first Community Bank branches in Australia to be established. Opening its doors in June 2002, its success led to the Community Bank Samford part of Bendigo Bank commencing operation in August 2009. In 2022, the Community Bank Brendale was merged with the Community Bank Samford, creating an integrated facility at our Branch at Samford. The Pine Rivers Community Finance Ltd (PRCF) owns and operates the Community Bank Samford. The PRCF is an unlisted public company with over 400 local shareholders. The PRCF board of committed and voluntary directors oversees the business strategy and community investment of the Community Bank Samford. Directors are not involved and are outside the banking operations undertaken at the Community Bank Samford.

Making connections across Moreton Bay.

Last week, Patrick joined local business owners and community leaders at Mark Ryan MP's Small Business Network Breakfast at Caboolture Sports Club.

It was a great turnout and an opportunity to catch up with local businesses, meet new faces and hear what's happening in the area.

While Samford is our hub, we're always keen to get out and about across the wider Moreton Bay region. It's a chance to get to know the people and businesses we support and make banking a little more personal and convenient when it's time to talk finances.

Another fantastic round of Defensive Driving Courses completed! 🚗👏

A big thank you to all the young drivers who joined us at Lakeside Park Raceway, Kurwongbah last week – and to the parents and families who supported them.

Since 2012, Community Bank Samford has proudly supported the Defensive Driving program as part of , giving teenagers, learners and P-platers the opportunity to develop practical driving skills, greater road awareness and confidence behind the wheel.

Thank you also to the instructors Paul, Simon and Richard from Driving Events, and Lakeside Park Raceway team for once again creating a safe and supportive environment for our young drivers to learn and put their skills into practice.

Most importantly, we hope everyone left with a better understanding of road safety and some valuable skills to take with them every time they get behind the wheel.

What do our young drivers actually experience during a Defensive Driving Course? 🚗

Community Bank Samford’s Kylie Neville decided there was only one way to find out – hop in the car with one of the participants and give it a go herself!

From learning how a vehicle responds in an emergency to developing better awareness and confidence behind the wheel, the course combines classroom learning with practical driving experience in a safe and controlled environment at Lakeside Park Raceway, Kurwongbah.

Our Defensive Driving program has been running since 2012 as part of , helping drivers, especially teenagers, learners and P-platers build skills that can make a real difference on the road.

Scams are becoming increasingly sophisticated, and knowing what to look out for can make a real difference.

Our Community Development Lead, Patrick Keating, recently visited the Samford Area Men's Shed and Dayboro Men's Shed to talk about scam awareness, some of the common warning signs and the simple steps we can all take to better protect ourselves.

A big thank you to both groups for welcoming Pat and for the great conversations. Staying informed and talking openly about scams is one of the best ways we can help protect ourselves, our families and others in our community.

🏆 Celebrating businesses creating opportunities for women in construction

Earlier this month, Community Bank Samford was proud to sponsor the Large Business Award at the AWIC - Awesome Women in Construction Awards 2026, celebrating businesses that are actively creating pathways and opportunities for women in the workforce.

Community Bank Samford’s Mandy Bell had the pleasure of presenting the award at the gala, with Queensland Magnesia (QMAG) named this year’s winner. Congratulations to QMAG and fellow finalists FRD Homes and Heuldins on their well-deserved recognition.
