Highlighting a great cause! 💛💚🩷

Community Bank Samford has been a long-time supporter of Stationery Aid, and Robyn recently had the chance to visit the team and catch up with co-founder and Executive Managing Director Alison Schutt, along with volunteer Linda.

Stationery Aid does fantastic work supporting disadvantaged Queensland students with essential school supplies, while giving used and excess stationery a second life through its circular economy program.

And this Friday, they’re putting the HIGHLIGHT on education equity with their Wear Fluoro Like a Highlighter – Brisbane Fundraising Lunch. 🌈

Mandy, Kylie and Robyn will all be there, and we’d love to see plenty of familiar faces joining them.

📅 Friday 4 September 2026
🌟 Wear your brightest fluoro or neon
🎤 Emceed by former ABC Radio presenter Rebecca Levingston
📚 Special guest speaker: acclaimed author and journalist Trent Dalton, best known for Boy Swallows Universe

There are also some fantastic prizes up for grabs, including a Daydream Island weekend getaway and a Cruise Whitsundays Camira catamaran day trip.

It promises to be a colourful afternoon of connection, inspiration and impact, all in support of helping Queensland kids start school with the supplies they need.

Come along, wear something bright and help Stationery Aid highlight a cause worth getting behind. ✏️📚🌈

A great evening making new friends at Buddy Brewing.

Last week, Community Bank Samford’s Patrick was thrilled to join the Greater Caboolture Chamber of Commerce Pub Chat, where cash flow and business resilience were on the table. It was also a valuable opportunity to hear firsthand about the challenges and opportunities local business owners are navigating.

And that wasn’t the only thing brewing. The Chamber officially welcomed Patrick and Community Bank Samford as members. We’re proud to join this thriving business community and look forward to building plenty of new local connections.

💜 A little more purple in the branch today! 💜
Our Community Bank Samford team proudly wore purple today to mark Wear It Purple Day 2026 and show our support for young people and inclusive communities.

This year’s theme, Colours of Courage, celebrates the many ways courage can show up every day. Sometimes it means speaking up and creating change. Sometimes it is simply being yourself, supporting someone who needs it, or helping create a space where everyone feels welcome.

For us, being a community bank means supporting a community where people feel valued, respected and able to belong.

So today, our team added a splash of purple to the branch to stand alongside young people, allies and communities celebrating understanding, acceptance and inclusion. 💜🌈

🎶 He’s been everywhere, man… well, almost everywhere across Moreton Bay!

Community Bank Samford’s Patrick Keating has been busy getting out and about over the past couple of weeks, building connections with local businesses, organisations and community leaders as we continue to expand our presence across the Moreton Bay region.

Patrick’s travels have included Mark Ryan MP’s Networking Catch-Up at Caboolture Sports Club, a 45-second Community Bank Samford elevator pitch at the Greater Caboolture Chamber of Commerce, and plenty of conversations with businesses in Dayboro and Caboolture.

He also joined Courtney at After Dark at Treehouse, hearing from a panel of women in business at an evening supporting Mini Farm Project.

But this isn’t networking for networking’s sake.

Patrick’s role as our Community Development Lead is to get out into the community, listen to local businesses and organisations, build genuine relationships, and identify where Community Bank Samford can help.
That includes growing our presence further north across Moreton Bay, strengthening our connections with local businesses and community organisations, and offering banking reviews for businesses and their teams.

And he’s happy to come to you. If your business, organisation or team would benefit from a chat about your banking, a banking review, or simply learning more about how Community Bank Samford supports the local community, Patrick can meet you at your workplace or another location that suits you.

📞 Contact Pat on 0419 833 278 to book a time at a location and time convenient to you.

After all, he’s already been everywhere, man. What’s one more stop? 🎶

Last week, we headed down to Samford Stags RLFC to see the juniors in action. What better way to wrap up an awesome training session than with a BBQ? Footy and a snag off the barbie. It doesn’t get much more Aussie than that.

Business Development Manager Robyn shared the tongs with club member Steve and was Chief Snag Officer for the afternoon.

We love getting behind our local grassroots clubs. Thanks for having us, Samford Stags!

Meet Robyn!
We’re thrilled to welcome Robyn Doulman as our new Business Development Manager at Community Bank Samford.

Robyn is already getting to know Samford the best way possible – by getting out and about, meeting local businesses and community groups, and listening to the people and ideas shaping our region.

With extensive banking and leadership experience behind her, Robyn knows good banking is about more than numbers. It starts with understanding what people are working towards, building trusted relationships and being there when it matters.
Don’t be shy – say hello next time you’re in the branch or if you spot Robyn around the village. 👋🏼
