As agtech adoption grows, so does farmers’ exposure to cyber risk.

Our WFI Regional Manager NSW and Tasmania, Daniel Kao spoke to Stock Journal about the increasing risk of cyber attacks on farms, and the steps farmers can take to protect their farms and assets.

WFI’s research shows about 70% of the broader business community are considering cyber insurance, compared to only 25% of rural businesses, indicating that farmers may not be aware of the increasing cyber threat.

In this special National Farm Safety Week episode of Good People to Know, Damien speaks with FarmSafe Ambassador Katie Saul about building a stronger safety culture on Australian farms.

Drawing on her agriculture experience on a farm and now involved in Work Health, Safety and Compliance within the livestock and saleyards sector, Katie shares practical insights on how everyday behaviours, conversations and visible leadership can help reduce risk.

Aligned with this year's theme, "Set the Standard – Show ’em how it’s done", the episode explores why safety is more than a checklist, how routine and pressure can lead to shortcuts, and why leading by example matters when someone is always watching.
