Over the past two days, the Gauteng Partnership Fund (GPF) leadership and staff convened in Midrand for a strategic session focused on strengthening the organisation’s sustainability, resilience and long-term developmental impact.


In his introductory remarks, GPF Board Chairperson, Craig Cornish, noted: “As our operating environment continues to evolve, we must remain agile in how we implement our strategy. It is essential that we assess our resources, capabilities and risks, and make the necessary adjustments to ensure that the GPF remains sustainable and continues to deliver meaningful developmental impact.”

The session further reinforced the need for innovation, decisive action and a shared commitment to shaping the organisation’s future. Chief Executive Officer of the GPF, Lindiwe Kwele, stated: “The future of GPF requires us to think differently, act decisively and take collective ownership of our sustainability. We must move beyond simply meeting targets to creating meaningful impact, strengthening our financial position and building an organisation that is resilient and fit for the future.”

This week, we hear from Onnica Monnakgotla, who reflects on how her development in Randburg, Johannesburg, has helped improve the surrounding area by converting an underutilised property into a cleaner, safer and more liveable space for the community.
