REQUIREMENTS:
1. IMM 0008 - Generic Application Form for Canada (This form is mandatory for all programs)
2. IMM 5406 - Additional Family Information (This form is mandatory for all programs)
3. IMM 5669 - Schedule A: Background/Declaration (This form is mandatory for all programs)
4. Photo
5. Travel documents and passports or UNHCR Refugee Documents
6. Proof of Residence (Sudanese proof of residence)
7. Proof of Status (PR Card or Citizenship Certificate or Passport)
8. Proof of Relationship (For Eg. Birth Certificate)
9. Proof of Funds and/or Income (Sponsor's Notice of Assessment / T4/Funds in a Canadian bank)
10. Minimum Funds Require to sponsor
- 1 Applicant = $9,900/-
- 2 Applicants =$14,950/-
- 3 Applicants = $16,500/-
- 4 Applicants = $18,100/-
- 5 Applicants = $20,450/-
- 6 Applicants = $22,650/-
* For each person after 6, you must add $1,900/-

IRCC launched New Family-based permanent residence pathway for people affected by the conflict in Sudan. This program will give people affected by the conflict in Sudan a new pathway to migrate to Canada. We’ll accept up to 3,250 applications from people or families who:

- resided in Sudan when the conflict began on April 15, 2023
- are the child, grandchild, parent, grandparent or sibling of an extended family member in Canada
- whose extended family member in Canada is
a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
willing to support your application

ነቶም ኣብ ሱዳን ዘለኹም ወይ ዝነበርኩም ናብ ካናዳ ድማ Flight ወጺልኩም ዝነበረ ዝምልከት፡ ካብ መንግስቲ ካናዳ ዝተረኸበ ሓበሬታ እዛ ትስዕብ እያ።

Khartoum International Airport is closed. Additional details on the situation in Sudan are available at https://travel.gc.ca/destinations/sudan. As a result, refugee movements which were scheduled for departure are cancelled. Travel will be rescheduled when flights resume.

If you plan to leave Sudan, you must check and follow the travel requirements of the country you plan to enter or travel through. Along with your passport, you may need to get a visa to legally enter another country. It is important to follow the immigration laws of countries you plan to enter. If you do not, you could be detained, be unable to leave the country or get deported.

If you choose to move to another country, please contact IRCC or use the IRCC Crises Webform to update your contact details. When using the Webform, please complete all required fields and include the keyword “SD2023” in the text box. IRCC will refer you (or will refer your Webform) to the appropriate office.

News Release:

Immediate family members of Canadian citizens and permanent residents who fled Sudan will be eligible to apply for an open work or study permit if they arrive before July 15, 2023. If they wish to stay in Canada permanently, they will also be able to apply for permanent residency under the family class, free of charge.

Clients who were evacuated by Canada or its partners must provide proof of eligibility. Those who left on their own must prove that they are an immediate family member of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and provide proof of their location in Sudan together prior to April 15, 2023.

Those eligible are immediate family members of Canadian citizens or Canadian permanent residents who meet the definition of family member under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations. Specifically, this refers to

- the spouse or common-law partner of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- a dependent child of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident or of their spouse or common-law partner
- a dependent child of a dependent child

Those applying to come to Canada will still be subject to all other legislative eligibility and admissibility requirements.

Good news from Immigration Canada for people who have applications completed or in process from Sudan.

The situation in Sudan is constantly evolving, and movement within the country continues to be difficult and dangerous, which has an impact on our ability to process new applications at the current time. To facilitate immigration applications for those still in Sudan so they can travel once it's safe to do so, the Government of Canada will also prioritize the processing of completed temporary and permanent residence applications already in the system from people still in the country. This includes visitor visa applications for eligible immediate family members of Canadian citizens and Canadian permanent residents, so they can join their loved ones here.

Canada will also waive passport and permanent resident travel document fees for citizens and permanent residents of Canada in Sudan who wish
to leave.
