💙🍎 Meet Chris Race, a dedicated educator and site supervisor at Hudsonville Early Childhood Center, serving students at Alward, Park, and South Elementary Schools!
Chris has spent 20 years caring for and supporting children, helping create a safe, structured, and welcoming environment for students before and after the school day. Through Hudsonville Early Childhood Center, students have a place to enjoy breakfast, playtime, activities, and time with caring adults while their families are at work.
When asked what keeps her going after 20 years, Chris shared something that says it all: the smiles and hugs she receives from the students when she sees them out in the community. 💙
The three words Chris uses to describe the atmosphere she creates for kids are listener, dependable, and structured. qualities that make a meaningful difference in the lives of the students she cares for each day.
Through her classroom grant, Chris received funding for additional supplies, including colored pencils, pencils, and other materials that help support students throughout their time at the center.
We were also excited to add a little extra surprise from Custer Agency; pickleball sets for the kids to enjoy! 🏓
