🎁 Buying holiday gifts for your clients?
You can give generously—but your federal tax deduction is generally limited to $25 per recipient, per year, even if you spend more.
This includes:
🍷 W**e and ch*****ne
🍫 Chocolates and gift baskets
🌿 Flowers and plants
🎁 Gift cards
☕ Mugs, tumblers, and personalized gifts
For example: A $100 client gift generally means a $25 deduction and $75 that is nondeductible.
📦 Qualifying shipping and gift-wrapping costs can generally be deducted separately.
🧾 Keep your receipts and document who received the gift and the business purpose.
This rule isn’t new for 2026—and employee gifts follow different rules.
