One thing I try to help buyers understand is what they’re actually comparing when they weigh renting versus buying.

It’s not always as simple as comparing one monthly payment to another. There are a few more layers worth thinking through:

✅ How long they plan to stay in the area

✅ What they’d be building over time with a mortgage versus a lease

✅ How upfront costs factor into the longer-term picture

✅ What flexibility means to them at this stage of life

Many buyers put off the pre-qualification process because they’re not sure their credit is where it needs to be.
