Marketplace Scam Alert

Selling something online? Be cautious if a buyer says they'll pay through Zelle and then sends an email claiming you need to "upgrade" your account or send money before receiving payment.
Legitimate payment services don't require you to send money to receive money. If someone asks you to pay first, it's likely a scam.

Scammers can create convincing text messages designed to look legitimate, complete with official-sounding language, names, case numbers, and links.

Before clicking, pause and look for warning signs. Unexpected verification requests, unfamiliar links, urgency, and requests for sensitive information should all make you stop and think.
