This past Wednesday and Thursday was year 27 of Ag in the Classroom hosted by Wharton County Farm Bureau. 4th graders throughout the county rotated through sessions learning about various aspects of agriculture in Wharton County - seeds planted, horticulture, livestock, farm equipment, and wildlife. Students also enjoyed demonstrations on vehicle and seat belt safety and got to see items law enforcement uses. Students also heard various 4-H members speak on what 4-H has to offer.
Thank you, Penny Kmiec, for making this happen each year.
Thank you, volunteers, FFA members, and the various youth presenters and helpers for dedicating your time each year to educate students.
