📊 Mortgage Mondays: One thing stands out in these forecasts: there's surprisingly little disagreement.

Major housing and mortgage economists all project mortgage rates near the 6.2%–6.5% range through 2027. For agents, that's a reminder that today's conversations should focus less on waiting for a magic number and more on helping clients understand their options in the market that's in front of them.

Rates get the headlines. Payments move buyers and sellers.

According to Redfin’s analysis of MLS data, homebuyer housing payments are now DOWN 1.6% year-over-year. 📉

That may not solve affordability overnight, but it does give agents something valuable: a reason to reopen conversations with buyers who paused, leads who went quiet, and sellers who need to understand where demand may be shifting.

The opportunity is not waiting for the “perfect” market.
It is helping clients understand the payment picture in the market they have.

Let’s turn hesitation into strategy instead.

The big news from Friday? The economy added 172,000 jobs in May — way more than anyone expected. People are working, incomes are steady, and buyers have purchasing power.

Rates are hovering around 6.4% on a 30-year fixed. Not where we all want them, but workable — especially with the right loan strategy.
