Things are looking a little different around the Judge & Associates office today… and it’s all for a great cause!

We’re kicking off our No Shave CT campaign in support of the Connecticut Cancer Foundation, helping Connecticut cancer patients and their families with everyday living expenses while they focus on what matters most — their health and their families. ❤️

We may look a little ridiculous today (some of us more than others 😂), but there’s a very real purpose behind these moustaches.

Throughout November, we’ll be raising money to support cancer patients and families right here in Connecticut — and we’d love your help!

What a special evening. ❤️

Last week, we had the opportunity to bring our clients together for our annual Judge & Associates Wealth Management Client Appreciation Dinner.

While the dinner is our way of saying thank you to the wonderful people and families who place their trust in our team, this year we also wanted to use the evening as an opportunity to give back to the community we all call home.

We asked our guests to consider bringing a donation for Shoreline Soup Kitchens & Pantries, and their generosity did not disappoint.

Together, our clients and team donated 51 pounds of food, along with a monetary contribution, to help our neighbors along the Connecticut shoreline. 🥫❤️

As we head into the holiday season, the need for food assistance in our local communities is especially important to keep in mind. For many of us, this time of year means gathering around a table with family and friends — and we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to have food on theirs.

We are so thankful to our clients for embracing this effort and helping us support an organization doing such important work right here in our own backyard.

⛳🍁 A beautiful fall day, a little friendly competition, and great company!

This past Saturday, we hosted the Judge & Associates Autumn Golf Classic at Blackledge Country Club, bringing together five teams for a fun afternoon on the course.

A big congratulations to Peter, Roger, Gene & Nadine, who took home the win! 🏆

And congratulations to Scott, who earned bragging rights for Closest to the Pin! 🎯

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We’re fortunate to work with some truly wonderful people, and getting to spend time together outside of the office makes days like this extra special.

And a special thank you to Stephen for putting everything together and planning such a great event for all of us! 👏⛳

Our team at Judge & Associates Wealth Management recently had the opportunity to visit the Chrysalis Center Food Forest at Cosgrove Commons in Hartford, an inspiring example of how a relatively small urban space can make a meaningful impact.

Sean, the Food Forest’s master gardener, gave us a tour and shared his extensive knowledge of the growing techniques used to maximize production in a limited space. The Food Forest combines several approaches, including raised garden beds, alley cropping, espalier fruit trees, and a high-density apple orchard. The site includes 45 raised beds with 39 varieties of fruits and vegetables, along with an orchard designed to support seven dwarf apple trees in a compact area.

What makes the work even more impressive is what happens with the harvest. The food grown here helps support members of the local community experiencing food insecurity, while produce from the gardens is also incorporated into Chrysalis Center’s catering efforts.

The impact extends well beyond growing food. Located behind housing that helps veterans adjust and build skills for greater independence, the Food Forest is part of a larger environment centered on opportunity and community. We learned about veterans participating in the catering program and mentoring young adults who are facing challenges—creating a cycle in which people receiving support can develop skills and, in turn, support others.

And the Food Forest is only part of the story. Chrysalis Center also operates an indoor hydroponic growing location, while this outdoor site continues developing into an increasingly sustainable urban ecosystem, with new wildlife making its home there.

We’re grateful to Sean for sharing his knowledge, enthusiasm, and vision with us, and to Chrysalis Center for inviting Judge & Associates Wealth Management to see firsthand the work we’re proud to support.

It was a great reminder that a garden can grow much more than food—it can grow skills, opportunity, connection, and community. 🌿🍎
