good tips to brush up on as the weather starts getting nicer
As we enjoy holiday get-togethers and backyard B-B-Ques this weekend, remember a few simple steps to stay safe:
🔥Never leave your grill unattended. A fire can double in size in just a minute. Keep children and pets at least 3 feet away from your grill while cooking.
🧹Prep your equipment by cleaning the grill from excess grease, and keep a fire extinguisher or bucket of water nearby in case of an emergency.
🔥For a gas grill, make sure to turn the gas completely off at the source when finished.
🔥For a charcoal grill, allow coals to fully cool and turn to ash before disposing of them.
ðŸŒRemember to move cooked food to a clean plate (and not one that previously had raw meat, fish or poultry). Bacteria from raw food can contaminate cooked food and cause illness.
And don't forget to invite us to dinner! 😀
