Florida buyers, your season may be here. ☀️

A Redfin and Home Economics analysis found that buyer discounts have historically peaked in early November in Tampa, and around mid-December in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach.

Holiday buyers may find less competition and more room to negotiate, especially on homes that have been listed for a while. The tradeoff is fewer fresh listings to choose from.

Timing alone does not make a home a good deal. But if the right one appears, it may be worth a closer look.

What would $200 less a month in property taxes mean for you?

That’s $2,400 a year to put toward insurance, home repairs or a little more breathing room in your budget.

A new analysis from the National Association of REALTORS® explores how lower property taxes could help Florida homeowners and buyers. In NAR’s example, a $200 monthly reduction lowers the estimated annual income needed to afford a $415,000 home by about $8,600.

These are potential savings, not an approved tax cut. But the example shows how much property taxes matter to home affordability.
