👋 **Meet Tommy Thomsen**

For Tommy, serving the Salt Lake Valley isn’t just business — it’s home.

Tommy grew up in West Jordan and has lived in Salt Lake County his entire life. After earning his degree in Finance from the University of Utah and spending time as both a business owner and in financial services, he opened the Tommy Thomsen Agency in 2015.

That experience shapes the way Tommy approaches insurance today: listen first, explain things clearly, and help people find coverage that actually fits their lives.

Whether he’s helping protect a family’s home, working with a local business owner, or reviewing someone’s coverage, Tommy believes insurance should feel personal — not complicated.

Outside the office, you’ll usually find him spending time with his wife and three kids, hiking, exploring the Mountain West… or with Ranger not too far behind. 🐾🏔

Happy National Dog Day! 🐾

Meet Ranger — Tommy’s loyal sidekick, support dog, and unofficial office greeter.

Ranger goes just about everywhere with Tommy and has become a familiar face around the office. He’s incredibly friendly, loves meeting new people, and somehow seems to know exactly when someone wants a hello — and when they’d rather have a little space.

When he’s not greeting clients, you can usually find Ranger hanging out with the team, looking for pets, or patiently waiting for one of his favorite bone treats. 🦴

We’re lucky to have him as part of the Tommy Thomsen Insurance family.

While it isn't news that California has been on fire, it may be new to some folks that State Farm has announced that they will no longer be accepting new applications in California after March 27th. State Farm is not the first to retreat, almost all carriers have modified or halted new policies in the affected areas of California.

My Daughter in Law is the president of the University of Utah AMS Chapter (American Meteorological Society), she wants to help her fellow Meteorology students go to a conference which will help them achieve careers in their field. However, the school has been less than helpful in helping her fund the travel expenses.
