Full Time Position: Appraiser for Equalization Office - Clear Lake, SD
HELP WANTED: Deuel County is now accepting applications for an appraiser/deputy in the Equalization Office. A High School diploma or GED is required. Associates degree preferred. Current Certified Appraiser/Assessor Certification is preferred. Applicants are required to obtain their CAA certification within 12 months of hire date. Applicants are required to have a valid driver’s license. Duties will include on-site property inspections, accurately entering data, researching and identifying correct legal descriptions and owners of property, preparing and maintaining current data on each parcel assessed and general clerical duties. Attention to detail is a vital quality to possess in this position. Applicants should also have computer knowledge, excellent people skills, proficiency in math, and effective in oral and written communication. Working knowledge in Microsoft Office, GIS and appraisal software is preferred. Travel for schools and meetings to maintain certification is required. Working hours are Monday - Friday 8 AM to 5 PM. Pay is dependent on experience.
