Businesses that incorporated prior to January 1, 2024 must file the Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) report with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) by the end of this year.

At the request of Senator Sheldon Whitehouse , the Director of FinCEN will visit Rhode Island for an event hosted by RI Department of State and Attorney General Peter Neronha on Friday, December 6 at 10 a.m. You’ll have the chance to speak one-on-one with FinCEN representatives to address private questions about the BOI reporting requirement.
