Do you know what PMOS is? PMOS stands for polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome, formerly known as polycystic O***y syndrome or PCOS. It’s a common but often misdiagnosed hormonal condition that affects millions of women.

PMOS is driven by the effects of androgen (a group of hormones in the body) and changes in how your body uses a hormone called insulin, which controls blood sugar. Talk to your doctor if you experience any of the symptoms in this graphic — they may be caused by PMOS.

Although the exact cause of PMOS is still unknown and there is currently no cure, there are ways to manage it.

Labor Day is a time to recognize the hard-working Americans who help keep our communities going.

As we celebrate their contributions, it’s also a reminder to make time for our health. Resting, recharging and caring for our physical and mental well-being can help us feel our best at work, at home and in our communities.

Here’s to the workers who keep our communities strong — and the well-being that keeps us going.

In addition to bags of fresh produce, attendees enjoyed a cooking demonstration featuring healthy recipes they could make at home.

Thank you to Wildflower and our Molina volunteers for helping us make this event a success. Together, we're building healthier communities.

New moms have lots to think about: diapers, sleep schedules, doctor appointments and, of course, feeding your baby.

If you choose to breastfeed your baby, you may have questions about the process. Remember, breastfeeding is a learning experience for both you and your baby. Reach out to your health provider, a lactation expert or support programs if you have any questions.
