From the moment that we connected, I never felt pressured into choosing her and her team as our lender. This was really important to us because other lenders we had met with had been too aggressive to gain our business. We really liked how authentic Kaelen was and how she continued to provide non-stop support throughout our entire process from offer to close. She really was our cheerleader through everything and really helped us as things came down to the wire with our closing date. Whenever we had choices to make, Kaelen clearly outlined all of our options and supported our decisions without pressuring us one way or another. She always provided her expert opinion to help guide us. One really funny thing is that whenever I received a phone call from her, I actually tried to pick up the phone! Sometimes when things get messy or busy, I feel like I want to avoid connecting over the phone, but I always felt comfortable connecting with Kaelen and didn't hesitate to take her calls to go over the things we needed to review. I think that speaks volumes to how approachable she is.

Waiting for rates to drop can make sense BUT you won’t be the only one waiting.

When rates come down, prices go up, competition rises (everyone suddenly is back to buying), and you have less room to negotiate - bye bye seller credits.

If you know a mortgage lender, maybe give them a hug this week. 😂

Check on them. Send coffee. Maybe avoid asking, “So… what are rates doing?” for at least five minutes.

It’s been a rough couple of weeks in the mortgage market.

Rates have moved higher quickly, Treasury yields have jumped, oil prices remain elevated, and the market has been trying to digest a lot at once.

But before buyers see another scary rate headline and decide to put their home search on hold, there’s something important to understand:
