Shelley brings a positive attitude, attention to detail, and plenty of personality to her role as a Client Advocate. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her three children, attending concerts and music festivals, and relaxing at the beach with a good book.

🌪️ Hurricane Season Reminder: Don't Wait Until a Storm Is Heading Our Way!

With recent hurricane activity in the Gulf, we wanted to share an important insurance reminder with our community.

Did you know insurance carriers can temporarily stop writing new policies or making certain coverage changes when a named storm approaches?

These restrictions are called insurance moratoriums, and they can impact your ability to secure coverage before a storm.

This is especially important for flood insurance! Most homeowners insurance policies don't cover flooding, and many flood insurance policies have a 30-day waiting period before coverage takes effect.

Our community knows how quickly conditions can change during hurricane season. Taking time to understand your coverage and prepare ahead of a storm can make all the difference!

Fire Prevention Week is a great reminder that small safety habits can make a big difference. 🔥

This year’s theme focuses on safely charging the lithium-ion batteries we use every day in phones, laptops, power tools, e-bikes, and other devices.

A few simple reminders:
• Use the charger designed for your device
• Charge devices on a hard, stable surface
• Unplug devices once they’re fully charged
• Watch for damaged batteries, unusual heat, swelling, or strange odors
• When possible, charge larger items like e-bikes and scooters outside and away from exits

Taking a few extra precautions can help protect your home, your family, and the people around you.
