Would it not be be great to have an "Investment Advisor Whisperer"? Someone to help you replace the mysterious jargon and fill in the gaps of what is really being said or not said about how your money is working?
I am NOT against investment advisors! We need them. But they frequently have their mouths tied shut due to corporate directives, government regulations, and sadly, sometimes, less than clear motives.
If you just reach out, there is help so that you feel better toward your advisor. I use plain language and guide people to understanding without talking down to anyone.
You should be the measure of competency with your finances, NOT your advisor! Advisors are there to help YOU! Sometimes they are limited by outside forces.
