It's Election Day! Are you prepared to vote?

America’s 73 million children under the age of 18 are too young to vote, and yet, decisions made by elected officials shape their entire lives and futures. Protecting and exercising our voting rights is how we can stand in for children as constituents who aren’t allowed to cast a ballot.

Here is the information regarding the Athens Fire Departments Toys for Tots program screening. Please review the post and see there are only 2 days the HELP Center will be screening. If you have had support from this program for the last two years in a row, you will not be eligible this year. Please see the age ranges as well.

Have you heard? Our monthly Hygiene Closet offers you personal care items at NO cost!

Here's the what, when, and where ⬇️

What: Pick up your personal care items at no cost (no documentation required nor is it income based) Your only required to complete a short survey when you arrive.

When: Tuesday,November 17, 2026 from 11:00-1:00 pm are till supplies are gone.

(No additional time’s available)

We also accept donations! Volunteers Needed!

Another great Community Partner Networking Meeting was held on Tuesday. Our Presenter was Suzy King with MCH Family Outreach in Tyler. MCH Family Outreach offers foster care and family preservation services through its community services program. Services are designed to help meet the needs of families with one or more children between the ages of 0-17yrs. These monthly meetings also provide us the opportunity to discuss referrals, community needs and networking opportunities to better serve children and families in our communities.

We are excited to announce the return of our Hygiene Closet for the month of November (only at this time). Please mark your calendar for Tuesday, November 17th from 11-1:00pm same location same process. A BIG THANKS to those in our community who donated to make this possible. Additional items were received this week from L. Wilson, and Community Partners Serena Hobbs Burleson, C. Jones, P. Dansby, K. Humphrey and Gloria Bell who assisted with those last needed items. Our community made this possible and we can’t thank you enough!
