πΊπΈ VA TIP OF THE DAY: Can a Veteran use their VA loan twice? YES. More than twice? Also YES.
A Veteran may be able to use the benefit again while keeping the home they already own, as long as the new property will legitimately become their primary residence and there is enough remaining entitlement.
Example: current VA loan of $300,000, county loan limit of $832,750. That is roughly $532,750 of potential buying power with ZERO DOWN, subject to the entitlement charged on the COE and lender qualification.
Here is the part most people miss. That starter home does not have to be sold. It can become a departing residence, and qualifying rental income may help offset the payment.
Occupancy still matters. There should be a real reason to move: more space, less space, closer to work, a household change, a relocation.
VA is not just a homeownership benefit. Used correctly, it is a wealth-building tool. π‘
Who a Veteran works with matters.
