☀️⛳ That’s a wrap on the 42nd Annual KAIA President’s Classic!

The Kansas heat definitely showed up ready to play, but so did our golfers! 🥵🏌️‍♂️ Despite the soaring temperatures, it was a fantastic day on the course filled with great competition, plenty of laughs and even better company.

For those looking to trade the fairway for a little shade and a glass of wine, our alternate outing to Inland Ocean Vineyard & Winery offered the perfect escape. 🍷🍇

We kicked off the festivities tonight with a fantastic crowd, great food and plenty of friendly bidding at our silent and live auctions—all in support of Young Agents of Kansas (YAK)!

Last week, Dave Hulcher and Beth Smoller attended the IAAE Annual Meeting in Deer Valley, Utah, learning alongside Big "I" association leaders from across the country. Discussions focused on the future of the independent agency system, including AI’s impact on agencies, industry consolidation, state advocacy, government affairs, and new opportunities to strengthen associations and better serve our members. They especially valued the opportunity to discuss the important topic of aligning industry voices on a state level with Wes Bissett (IIABA), Adam Shores (APCIA), and Phillip Arnzen (NAMIC). Thank you Matt Banaszynski and team for creating an incredible opportunity to connect, collaborate, and bring back new ideas that will benefit our members.

❤️ YAK's 2026 Community Service Fundraiser is Underway! ❤️

The Young Agents of Kansas (YAK) is proud to support My HeartCheck as our 2026 Community Service Project. Our goal is to raise $5,500 to fund 30 life-saving heart screenings for Kansas children and young athletes.

Many heart conditions show no warning signs, but early detection can save lives. Every donation—large or small—helps provide screenings that give families peace of mind and children the opportunity for a healthier future.

To make things even more fun, KAIA leadership has accepted a few fundraising challenges:
🥧 Reach $3,500 and CEO Dave Hulcher gets a pie in the face!
🤼 Reach our $5,500 goal and KAIA President Dave Vogel and President-Elect Brock Elliott will face off in a Sumo Wrestling Championship at the 2027 Convention!

🎉 Please join us in welcoming Tony Elleman to the KAIA family!

Tony joins us as our new Agency Operations & Member Engagement Manager. He comes to us from IAT Insurance Group in the Kansas City area, where he built a strong track record in operational analysis and process improvement — starting in their aviation division before becoming a Business & Operations Analyst.

In his new role, Tony will serve as a backup ASCK Account Manager, support member engagement initiatives, and help strengthen our internal operations — all with a focus on delivering even more value to our members.

Outside the office, you'll find Tony out running or cycling, hanging out with his two cats, or hunting down the best Mexican food in town.

Welcome aboard, Tony! We're excited for the energy and fresh perspective you bring to KAIA.
