The agency was founded by Brian Atwater, a 22 year veteran of the insurance business, and Patrick Atwater III, a recent graduate of the University of Georgia. Brian Atwater began his career in Athens, GA with Chastain & Associates,after graduating from the University of Georgia. He worked there for two years before moving home to open his own Allstate Agency. During Brian's tenure as an Allstate a
gent, he worked his way into the top 10% of Allstate agents in the United States. In 2011 Brian sold his Allstate Agency and started an independent agency named Atwater & Houston. He and his business partner built an agency for the next 4 years. Brian worked mainly in the Fitzgerald . During this time his kids were growing up and although Fitzgerald is not far, it was far enough away from home that he was missing important time with them. In order to get back home, Brian sold his shares of Atwater & Houston. He has since put all of his time and energy into building a new independent agency in Tifton, GA, where he will stay indefinitely. Patrick Atwater is Brian's nephew. Much like all other members of his family, Patrick was extremely excited to get home near family and friends after spending 5 years in Athens, GA. Although Patrick has a little less than a year of insurance experience, he is very familiar with business. During Patrick's time in Athens, he partnered up with several friends to own and operate four downtown Athen's establishments. Once Patrick's time in Athens was done, he sold his interest in his businesses and came home where he worked for Brian at Atwater & Houston Insurance. Family is always first when it comes to the Atwater family, and when Brian chose to leave Atwater & Houston to start anew, Patrick's chose to go with his Uncle. Brian and Patrick III could not have accomplished all of this without the help of their family. Anna Atwater, Pat & Linda Atwater, and Patrick jr. and Frances Atwater have all contributed something along the way that has led to their success. Patrick and Brian plan on bringing that same family atmosphere to every customer. They will be involved in the community and are excited to see old friends and make new ones.
