Helping someone get a better handle on their finances. 3 credit bureau reports were pulled.

These are ALL scores for the same person but pay attention to the TYPE of score and that each bureau has a different score.

Why are the scores so different? 1. The risk of the loan. Applying for store credit is not the same as applying for a mortgage so they pull different report types which means your reported score will be different, 2. Because lenders also do not always report to all three major bureaus. Yes, I said major, because there are way more reporting bureaus than just these three, and if you are cleaning up your act, you will want your data CONSISTENT across all of them.

If you are going to apply for a loan, it helps to know what type of score and which bureau they pull the score from. Some lenders only pull a FICO 8 from Transunion, for example, while some will pull all 3 for FICO 4. For mortgages, they pull at the loan application and again just before closing.

This kind of info is essential to know when you decide to get your money straight.
