The American Warrior Initiative (AWI) is Fairway’s own nonprofit, dedicated to changing the lives of veterans and active-duty service members through housing support, education, and life-changing service dogs for those living with the invisible wounds of war.

Earlier this month, the AWI Gala was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we come together behind a mission that matters. Together, supporters raised an incredible $410,000—funding 27 service dogs and 27 new opportunities for healing, independence, and hope.

To date, AWI has impacted the lives of more than 460 veterans, with a goal of reaching 500 by the end of this year.

Avoid opening new credit, financing big purchases, making large unexplained deposits, switching jobs, or missing payments. Lenders will re-verify your finances before closing.

Most buyers make it from pre-approval to closing without any issues. The key is simply to keep things steady and communicate with your lender. If something changes financially, tell your lender before it happens—it’s much easier to address upfront than after the fact.
