I wanted to give you an update on some health issues about me that we learned within the last few weeks. On June 9, I went in for a non-routine colonoscopy. (Side note: if you are having any issues, get it checked out) It was discovered I had a tumor in my lower large intestine. The doctors do believe the tumor is malignant, but cancer cells were found around it. Over the last few weeks, I have had several dr appointments and tests to confirm the cancer is present. The doctors are confident with the approach we will be moving forward with. They do expect a full recovery once it’s all said and done. I will be starting chemo in the next couple of weeks, which will take several months. Once chemo is completed, we will reassess how the tumor has responded to the chemo and decide if surgery or radiation is necessary.
My ask of you is two things. First and foremost is prayer. I know our ultimate healing comes from God the Father. Whether He uses miraculous healing and all the cancer just disappears, or His Hands guide the doctors, I know He can and will intervene when His children humbly ask in prayer. The second thing I ask is patience and grace for the ladies in the office. Penny and I will be in as often as possible, but many times it will be just Sam and Tammy. As we may be understaffed at times, I just ask you grant some patience and grace as we navigate through this. Phone calls and voicemails will be returned and questions will be answered, it just may not be as quick as normal.
I thank you all for letting us handle your insurance and wealth management needs.
Thank you,
Ryan Cockrum
