It's official, we have moved! And while we are so excited about this move, our hearts are a little melancholy to leave our old space behind. We started with two desks and a printer from Shelter, a whole lot of items we brought from home or found on Facebook Marketplace and two empty offices. DeAnn's mom gave us some furniture, Aunt Sharon gave us pictures for the wall and we gave everything we had to building a business.

Almost five years later, we were at capacity, the microwave was in the hall, the refrigerator was in the closet and all offices were full. We have been so blessed in this space and we don't take that lightly. We are so thankful to our clients who have trusted us through these beginning years. We had a lot of fun in that office.

There will be pictures and an open house this fall for the new office, but for today, we're just going to reflect and appreciate this moment and say goodbye to our little office where it all began. And we're going to take our printer and move across the parking lot.

Route 66 is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. To celebrate there are multiple events held across the country. Some of the upcoming events in Missouri include: a Route 66 Centennial Travel exhibit on display all of July at the St. Louis Public Central Library and a festival in Wildwood called “Route 66 Cruise, Tunes & Taste”.

It's been a tough week in Springfield, MO and our hearts go out to everyone affected by the storms. As we are processing claims we are receiving reports of non-local roofing contractors going door to door and asking property owners to sign contracts. We would strongly encourage you not to do this. Do your research, get recommendations from people you trust or wait for your Shelter adjustor to inspect your damages before you agree to any repairs or contracts. Unfortunately we've seen what can happen: unfinished jobs, really poor quality, or taking deposits and simply stealing the money and never finishing the job. Shelter isn't rushing you to choose or get it done quickly and neither should your roofer.
