Following this weekend's deadly severe weather outbreak, Illinois added to what has already become a record-setting tornado year per AccuWeather. Not the types of records we’d like to be setting. We rank highest in the country for confirmed tornados and already have been in the top 3 for convective storms and hail the past several years.

✅ Because some valuables may need extra protection.

Things like engagement rings, watches, collectibles, or high-end electronics can be difficult or expensive to replace if they’re lost, stolen, or damaged.

A lot of people don’t realize the value of their items until something happens.

👉 Tip: Take photos and keep receipts for important valuables whenever possible.

We’re here when life doesn’t go quite right - and unfortunately that means storms lately! If you have experienced damage from yesterday’s storms, please call our office for guidance. Some general tips are:

✔️ Take steps to mitigate further damage. This could mean small tasks to prevent further damage or larger needs like calling a trusted cp tractor to tarp a roof.

✔️ Call for estimates. You may not know if the damage exceeds your deductible. Call our office for guidance on your deductible and coverage. Then if you’re unsure on damage amounts, call your trusted contractors for estimates. We can provide recommendations if needed.

✔️ Do not sign contracts until you are assigned and made contact with your State Farm adjuster.

We’re here when you need us! Please call or text the office at 217-787-5400 from 9am-5pm and outside of those times our phones are handled by our 24/7 State Farm client service team!
