SCAM ALERT!! Someone is calling area businesses claiming to be Spring Valley City Bank. The individual is “spoofing” our name and number so that your caller id looks like it’s a legitimate call. Do NOT ever give out account information unless you are 100% sure it is the Bank. When in doubt, hang up and call the Bank back directly. As always, keep your guard up for individuals trying to obtain confidential information.

Spring Valley City Bank is getting a jumpstart on tomorrow’s annual “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive sponsored by the USPS with a donation to the Spring Valley post office. Remember to put out your bag of non-perishable donations tomorrow (Saturday) for your letter carrier to collect. All donations stay local!!

On Sunday, April 26, Stan Wolf, VP of Spring Valley City Bank and IL Valley Sunrise Rotary Long-Term Youth Exchange Counselor spoke at the Rotary Scholarship Awards Banquet on the group’s International Youth Exchange. The event was sponsored by IV Sunrise, Peru and LaSalle Rotaries and honored students from LP, St. Bede and Hall. Matt Klein was guest speaker.
